Hello dear RollerPlausch community,
I recently bought a used Segway-Ninebot F3 D via Amazon and now I'm facing a big problem where I need your help.
When I first switched on the e-scooter, error 16 (error with the Hall sensor of the right brake lever) immediately appeared. The strange thing is: the F3 D is the German model and doesn't have a right brake lever at all from the factory, only the left combined brake lever!
I then connected the Segway app and noticed that the serial number displayed in the app did not match the physical serial number on the scooter's frame or in my data verification documents. The previous owner apparently tampered with the region/serial number (probably for speed tuning), which is why the controller now thinks it's an international model with two brake levers.
Foolishly, as a layman, I thought an official firmware update would fix the problem and installed the latest update via the Segway app. As you can imagine, this didn't fix error 16 – instead, the controller is now completely locked to third-party apps via Bluetooth. I can no longer wirelessly change the serial number back to the original "N5G...".
Here is my current data from the app:
- Model: Segway-Ninebot F3 D (Germany, 20 km/h)
- Vehicle Controller (DRV): v1.6.4
- Bluetooth (BLE): v0.4.5
- Battery (BMS): v4.1.7.7
My questions for you:
1. Is there currently a software-based way to force the original serial number back in DRV v1.6.4 that I've overlooked?
2. Since Bluetooth is blocked: Is there an experienced tinkerer in the Magdeburg area (or surrounding region) who owns an ST-Link V2 and could flash or reset the controller to the original German DRV firmware? I would, of course, be happy to pay a fair tip for their efforts!
Thank you in advance for any help and guidance!

Übersezt, bitte das nächste mal gleich in Deutsch, danke.
Hallo liebe RollerPlausch-Community,
